Marketing manager of Brescia House School Helga Bishop said, “Christmas this year is going to be a very special time for the children of D. Hani childcare centre which is located in an informal settlement in Doornkop, near Roodepoort.”
The Brescia House School students turned what would’ve usually been an ordinary day into a very special Christmas treat by handing out Christmas boxes filled with different goodies to 108 children at the Childcare Centre. Christmas time for these children is just another ordinary day.
Bishop added, “Most of these children have never received a gift in their young lives, so hats off to our Brescia House Community for giving these young children a Christmas to remember. What a happy day it was. Parents, grandparents and caregivers were given a delightful presentation by the children.”
The children of D. Hani childcare centre were also given the opportunity to meet Father Christmas who listened to their Christmas wishes and gave them special boxes.
Bishop concluded, “It was wonderful to see the community of this little part of Doornkop come out for this celebration.”
