The incident took place on the school’s premises on 27 November and follows an incident in Lonehill at Crawford College where a woman’s Porsche was nearly stolen.
“As we were leaving the parking lot, a male dressed in all black clothing approached me and held a gun to my head, demanding I hand over my valuables,” the shaken Sandton resident said.
The suspect made off with her jewellery and the victim has cautioned parents to remain vigilant when collecting their children.
“It’s important for parents, especially mothers, to remain cautious because often, mothers are targeted because they don’t fight back,” she said.
Captain Kym Cloete, spokesperson for the Sandton police, confirmed that a case was opened at the police station following the incident.
“A case of robbery with a firearm was opened and no arrests have been made yet,” she said.
