Celebrate the arts
SANDTON - The annual Arts and Culture Trust (Act) Awards celebrated their 20th year at The Maslow Hotel in Sandton.
Individuals and organisations that have made momentous contributions to arts and culture in South Africa were celebrated. Among the artists in attendance were dancer Gregory Maqoma, and actresses Gcina Mhlope and Nolo Phiri.
Guests were treated to a cocktail dinner and a night of music, dance and works of art. Visual art, theatre, music, design and singing were some of the categories in which performers and artists were acknowledged.
