Sandton City wins best shopping centre
SANDTON - Sandton City was voted the Best Shopping Centre in the Leisure Options Best of Joburg Readers’ Choice Awards for the seventeenth time.
The awards are an annual survey in which readers vote for the best of the best in Johannesburg. Categories cover shopping, dining, entertainment, services and more.
“I love Sandton City because you can find everything you need there as it offers a whole range of different stores. Many shops that sponsor me are in Sandton City so I feel like whenever I go there, I’ll be spoilt,” said Miss South Africa 2014, Rolene Strauss, who also said she always heads to Sandton City when she wants to shop up a storm.
A number of Sandton City stores were also winners in their respective categories.
Sandton City’s Leisure Options Best of Joburg Readers’ Choice award follows hot on the heels of the Sunday Times Generation Next Brand Survey award Sandton City received earlier this year, in which South Africa’s youth voted Sandton City South Africa’s Coolest Shopping Mall for the third year in a row.
