Saints are champs

PETER PLACE - St Stithians College won the 2013/2014 Coca-Cola Schools T20 cricket series.

The college beat Waterkloof High School in their home city of Pretoria in the final.

According to Shawn Belluigi of Intune Communications and Entertainment, the college beat Waterkloof by nine wickets to claim the victory.

“They were the only team to go through the tournament unbeaten, after beating Grey College by 63 runs in their final pool game on Sunday morning, to win all five matches in the round-robin phase of the competition,” he said.

Waterkloof were bowled out for 75 in the 18th of their 20 allocated overs with St Stithians spinner, Connor Beauchamp doing most of the damage, taking 3/12 in his four overs. He was supported by Brandon Glover (2/11) and Nicholas Scholtz (2/4).
