Marlboro shooting case postponed

MARLBORO - The case for one of the Marlboro shootout suspects has been postponed.

The suspect, arrested following an alleged house robbery incident in Atholl, will appear in the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court on 28 October.

Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for Bramley police, said that the suspect had decided to abandon bail, meaning that the case is set to proceed.

“Additionally, the suspect has also been linked to two more crimes in Randburg and that is still being investigated,” he said.

This after he was linked to 20 cases in the Sandton area.

The suspect was charged with house robbery and possession of stolen goods. The case continues.
