SANCO speak up about Oscar verdict

SANDTON - Though members of the South African National Civic Organisation (Sanco) were united in a solidarity march for the Palestinian people in Sandton on 12 September, they were divided in opinion regarding the Oscar Pistorius trial verdict.

While some of the marchers supported Judge Thokosile Masipa’s verdict, the majority saw it as the legal system failing women in South Africa.

Patience Khumalo: "I think Oscar murdered that girl. As a woman I feel that the judge was wrong, and that the law is failing us."
