Stories that inspire South Africans

SANDTON - The inaugural Citadel Inspiration Indaba will take place on 2 September at the Inanda Club.

The event offers a platform for homegrown success stories to be celebrated and shared.

Conceptualised and hosted by wealth management specialists, Citadel, the Inspiration Indaba is aimed at showcasing the stories of ordinary South Africans who get up every day to do extraordinary things.

The line-up of speakers will include some of the country’s most noteworthy entrepreneurs, trail blazers, thought leaders, innovators and business leaders.

The line-up includes Herman Mashaba, globally recognised serial entrepreneur and founder of the Black Like Me range and many others.

“At Citadel we are passionate about connecting with South Africans and truly understanding what drives them to pursue their dreams and goals,” said Citadel’s marketing director, Andrew Finlayson.

He said, “The idea for the Inspiration Indaba came from our belief that everyone has a story and that everyone has a passion they wish to pursue. By offering a platform for rich narrative, engagement and debate, fellow South Africans can inspire each other to tap into and fulfil their unique potential.”

Other speakers at the Inspiration Indaba will include Paddy Upton, South African leadership coach and former cricketer, and Rob Stokes, the modern-day tech entrepreneur and founder of the multi-national Quirk Marketing.

The well-known economist and investment specialist who is passionate about the growth opportunities for South Africa and the African continent, Adrian Saville will also be among the speakers.

The Inspiration Indaba will also host a panel discussion focusing on inspiring the next generation of South African entrepreneurs. Panelists will include Sean Riley, Andile Khumalo and Lynette Ntuli.
