Bryanston tennis star shines
BRYANSTON - Bryanston High School Grade 9 pupil Martin Dijkhuis spent his July holiday shining on the tennis court with fabulous victories at a number of tournaments.
While other teens spent their July holidays sleeping late and relaxing, Dijkhuis spent his time, along with his partner Jonathan Bulmer, winning the Gauteng Central Keyhealth tennis tournament.
He also won the doubles at the Gauteng Central Mini tournament at Ellis Park with his partner Kent Joubert.
Dijkhuis then went on to defeat Joubert in the singles final at the Gauteng Central Mini tournament, earning a rank in the Top 20 in his age group in South Africa.
