Celebrating extraordinary women in style

INANDA - In celebration of Women’s Month, the Eskom Development Foundation hosted a charity fundraiser at the Polo Club in Inanda on 7 August.

The annual Joy & Jewels charity fundraiser aims to celebrate women and acknowledge their contribution to society while raising funds for a worthy cause. This year’s cause was for the Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital Trust. The foundation celebrated the legacy of social development that former President Nelson Mandela embodied.

“By supporting Joy & Jewels you will be contributing to the development of a vital new children’s hospital, and you can be sure that you will be playing a part in keeping former President Nelson Mandela’s legacy alive,” said Eskom Development Foundation chief executive officer, Haylene Liberty-Nel.

Various women were invited from the public and business sectors to attend the event. All the guests at the fundraiser were treated to a day of pampering with soothing spa treatments, delicious food, an auction, a fashion show and live entertainment; all in aid of raising funds for the hospital.
