Parkmore home targeted by burglars

PARKMORE - Suspects gain entry to residence in Parkmore.

“The suspects broke through the back door to get inside the home,” explained Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for the Bramley police.

He said the owner of the house claimed he had locked all doors and closed all windows before he left for work. “When he came back home he opened the gate which was still locked,” said Maphakela.

“When he went inside the house he found the fridge door open and inside his bedroom the closet was ransacked.”

Maphakela said there were a number of items missing from the house. He said the man also found his back door damaged. “The estimated value of everything that was stolen from the house is close to R10 000,” added Maphakela.

No arrests have been made.

“We urge all residents to ensure that their homes are secured at all times,” said Maphakela. “Strengthen your security at home and be vigilant at all times.”
