Rivonia Primary commended following shooting
RIVONIA - Teachers and the principal of Rivonia Primary School have been commended for their streamlined evacuation process following a shooting near the school.
Parents of pupils from Rivonia Primary School have commended the teachers and principal for their handling of a shooting incident near the school on Friday.
According to a source, pupils were evacuated to the opposite side of the school following the shooting. No pupils or teachers were hurt nor did they witness the event or see the body.
All pupils of the school were evacuated to Rivonia Boulevard and parents were messaged to collect them from there.
The pupils were lined up in their grades, with their teachers. The process was streamlined and organised.
One parent messaged the Sandton Chronicle to state that the school was excellent in how they handled the situation, while another took to Facebbook to do the same.
