Woman trips into oncoming traffic

ILLOVO - A WOMAN was rushed to Milpark Hospital after she tripped and fell into oncoming traffic.

Paramedics found her lying on Corlett Drive in Illovo, bleeding from her head.

Hula Seakamela, who drove over the woman said she was crossing the street when she tripped and fell over the middle island. “She tried to get up quickly but fell again,” he explained. Seakamela said the woman fell in-between the wheels of his van. “Luckily I was driving slowly,” he added.

Emer-g-med and Netcare911 were at the scene. Ray Ellis from Emergency Services (EMS) said the woman sustained minor injuries and no one else was injured.
