Relief as petrol price set to drop

JOBURG - Consumers will feel relief when the price of petrol drops by 15 cents per litre next week.

The announcement was made by the department of energy on Friday.

Diesel would decrease by 29.78 cents per litre, paraffin by 25 cents and LP Gas by four cents.

The drop is set for 7 May.

“The decrease in the price of illuminating paraffin and LPG will benefit households that use these products, as winter approaches,” energy minister Ben Martins said in a statement.
