Community to clean up spruit

PAULSHOF - On 7 June concerned residents and the City of Joburg will clean up the Braamfontein Spruit from Paulshof to Melville.

The clean-up is a combined effort between residents who live along the Spruit, driven by local residents’ associations with the support of Spruit interest groups, youth representatives like the Cubs and Scouts, and the City of Joburg.

Natalie Zimmelman, one of the organisers is calling on all businesses, individuals, clubs and organisations to provide sponsorship or turn up on the day to help make the environment a beautiful place.

There will be educational sessions on topics such as alien vegetation, erosion and pollution. There will also be competitions at Delta Park for suburbs and schools.

For more information contact Natalie Zimmerman.
