Keep safe over Easter holiday
HURLINGHAM - Holiday season safety was the topic for the March edition of Domestic Watch at Rosebank Union Church.
Domestic Watch facilitator Annie Conway told attendees, “People always think Christmas time is bad for crime, but it is worst during Easter.”
She urged domestic workers to remind their employers about not leaving valuable property in their vehicles.
“If you are going to leave things in the car, leave them in the boot,” said Conway. She also prompted the group to be aware about their environment as many people were careless and forgot to lock their doors.
“All it takes is one silly mistake to become a victim,” she added.
Conway ended the meeting by wishing members safe travels.
