McDonald’s gives out free breakfast

Second annual National Breakfast Day celebrated,

Customers got a great start to their mornings as Mcdonald’s gave away free breakfasts across the country in celebration of their second annual National Breakfast Day event.

195 000 Egg McMuffins were given away by the fast food chain on 17 March across 195 stores nationwide.

“We were so encouraged by our customers’ resounding response last year, we brought back National Breakfast Day again to remind people to love their mornings,” said Daniel Padiachy, senior marketing director of McDonald’s South Africa.

Padiachy added that breakfast was considered a huge part of the McDonald’s business.

The breakfast day is also celebrated in other McDonald’s restaurants in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. The breakfast day began at 6.30am and ended at 10am.
