Shave-a-thon madness
SANDTON - Participants went bald or bright for the eleventh annual Cansa Shavathon.
The shavathon took place in Sandton at the following venues: Brescia House School, Bryanston shopping centre, Discovery offices, Sandton City shopping centre, Benmore Gardens shopping centre, St Stithians Collage, Wendywood shopping centre and Woodmead retail park.
Participants took part in the initiative to raise awareness about cancer and to raise funds for those affected by it.
Residents young and old gathered at the Kauai Court in the Benmore Gardens shopping centre and lined up to have their hair shaved off or sprayed with a mirage of bright colours. The pupils of Brescia House School had fun watching their teachers shave their hair off and spray their heads.
