Grayston Drive traffic nightmare
WYNBERG - Motorist John Wana is fed up with the traffic congestion at the intersection of Andries Street and Grayston Drive in Wynberg.
He said, “Every morning during the week we have taxis coming from Andries Street, a two way road going through oncoming traffic into Grayston Drive and this has been happening for a very long time now.”
Wana said he has had his car damaged twice because of the chaos that takes place at the intersection. “Now my insurance is refusing to pay for the damages to my car,” he added.
Bertha Peters-Scheepers, spokesperson for the Johannesburg Roads Agency was contacted on 17 February with the request for a traffic unit to be deployed at the intersection and to control the traffic.
On 18 February the Metro police were spotted directing traffic at that intersection.
