Rescued chickens need food

SANDTON - The Sandton SPCA rescued chickens that were being kept in horrendous conditions in Hillbrow.

The chickens are now safely in the care of the association, but are costing the organisation more than R350 a day in food.

According to Candice Scorer, general manager of the Sandton SPCA the additional cost will greatly impact on the association’s already low funds.

“If anyone is able to assist us with chicken feed or a donation please contact us,” she said.

People who wish to donate can do so using the following banking details: Sandton SPCA, FNB, Wierda Valley, 260950, account number: 62021109972 and can use the reference ‘Chicken’.
