Meet Pablo – Sandton’s Cutest Pet

“He is my very handsome, super friendly and gentle giant Great Dane. He has the softest heart and absolutely loves his morning cuddles. He is hoping to become a therapy dog one day… when he is big,” said owner Chantel Marion Smith-Porelli.

The competition was hotly contested in the end with dozens of votes coming in during the last few days.

Hot on Pablo’s heels was Kush, the Yorkshire terrier. Kush scored a total of 40 votes. According to his owner, Pravita Govender he radiates light and love, the infectious kind, and has the face of a teddy bear with a lion’s heart.

In third and fourth place was Tesi with 31 votes and Q with 17.

The competition is now open for Sandton’s Cutest Pet – February.

Submit photos of your furry, fuzzy, feathery or even scaled friends and stand the chance of winning an awesome one-hour photo shoot for you and your pet with Ashliegh K Photography.

Email your photos along with a paragraph or two about your pet and what makes him/her special to sc@caxton.co.za with the subject line ‘Sandton’s Cutest Pet’, or upload the photos directly onto our Facebook page, looklocal Sandton. We will move the photos into a gallery and all that is left to do is vote. Your family and friends can vote by liking the looklocal Sandton Facebook page and then liking the photo of your pet. The pet with the most likes at the end of each month will be declared that month’s Cutest Pet.

The monthly prize comprises a one-hour photo shoot with Ashleigh K Photography at her studio, your home or a local park. You will receive 30 images on a CD, as well as one A3 print. There will also be a grand prize up for grabs at the end of the year for Sandton’s Cutest Pet 2014.

Please note that submitted photos must be no smaller than 1MB and should be submitted as JPEG attachments. Entries for Sandton’s Cutest Pet February will close on 21 February and voting will close at 1pm on 28 February.

You may enter your pet as often as you like, but they are only eligible to win once.
