Couple robbed by three suspects

HYDE PARK - A couple was robbed at gunpoint by three suspects in Hyde Park.

Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for the Bramley police, said the total value of the stolen items amounted to R250 000. “The couple were [coming] from Sandton City when a black VW Golf GTI forced them to stop. The suspects were wearing police reflector jackets, and one of them pointed a gun at the man and announced that this was a robbery,” explained Maphakela.

The suspects stole cellphones, expensive jewellery, a bag with shoes and clothes from the boot. Maphakela said one of the suspects was large, dark in complexion and about 1.8m tall. The second suspect had a moustache, and the third suspect was tall, skinny and also dark in complexion. “Anyone with information must report it to the Bramley Police Station,” said Maphakela.
