Audiences taken to the dance floor

AUTO and General Theatre on the Square launched the opening night of Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks by Richard Alfierri.

Audiences flocked to the theatre to see the first showing of the comedy starring Judy Ditchfield and Jose Domingos. The play is directed by Greg Homann, who has been a recipient of the Standard Bank Young Director of the Year Theatre Award.

Six Dance Lessons In Six Weeks is about a formidable retired woman, played by Ditchfield, who hires an acerbic dance instructor, played by Domingos, to give her private dance lessons. What begins as an antagonistic relationship blossoms into an intimate friendship as the two, from very different backgrounds, reveal their secrets, fears and joys while doing the swing, tango, waltz, foxtrot, cha-cha, and contemporary dance.
