The organisation decided to give back to the community of Bridgetown in the Bloubosrand area. Children from all walks of life were given the opportunity to meet Santa Clause and receive party packs. The community of Bridgetown is a complex that has a number under privileged families who struggle to make ends meet during general increases in the cost living.
Casper Du Plessis from GMA manages the Bridgetown complex believes the general increases have affected many residents and we do our best to manage complex financially as best as they can.
We decided to give back to the youth during these harsh economic times and spread joy to them during the festive season, Du Plessis said. He also highlighted that GMC plans to do more charitable events in the future to help alleviate poverty in the communities they exposed to. Children eagerly waited in line for their turn to meet Santa Clause and tell him their wish for Christmas.
They were given party packs filled with all kinds of goodies while equally excited parents watched the festivities.
The community of Bridgetown were excited about the initiative to surprise the youth during the festive season. Mother of three Sophie Moyo is grateful that the GMA decided to treat the children and give them an opportunity to meet Santa for the first time.
Alert Von Gericke from Ziper trading solutions is part of the team giving back to the youth of Bridgetown. We decided to give back to the community due to so many kids that dont get anything for Christmas.
