Pedestrian seriously injured after accident on N1 South
A pedestrian was struck down by a vehicle on the N1 South after the Buccleuch interchange.
Paramedic Darryl Betts for EMER-G-MED received a call on 14 November at 7am and arrived at the scene soon after. According to Betts, the pedestrian suffered a head and chest injury, and classified the injuries as a priority case that needed immediate attention.
After the pedestrian was stabilised, the victim was airlifted by helicopter to Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital .
