Man gets two life sentences for elderly couple murder
Handsome Moyo has been found guilty of murder and was convicted on 13 November for the killing of two elderly Morningside residents.

Moyo will serve two life sentences for the murders and 15 years for robbery. He was the main suspect in the murders of a couple in their seventies which took place on 7 September last year.
Moyo was arrested in KwaZulu-Natal at the beginning of October this year.
A second suspect, who was arrested in March, signed an admission of guilt for his involvement in the murders and turned state witness against Moyo.
Captain Kym Cloete, spokesperson for the Sandton police, congratulated the investigating officer, Warrant Officer Alfred Odendaal, on the conviction.
On 7 September 2012, the Sandton police were called to a murder scene in North Road, Morningside. A son had found his parents dead in their home after they had failed to arrive for a lunch appointment.
The couple, both in their 70s, had been tied up and gagged with plastic bags.
According to Captain Cloete, it appeared as though the house had been ransacked, and various household items including cellphones, speakers, a DSTV decoder, and other electronics were missing. A Mazda Rustler bakkie was also stolen.
