UPDATE: Jukskei River body still unidentified

THE body of a man that was discovered in the Jukskei River in Sandown on 24 October has still not been identified.

Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson of the Bramley police said, “We are still appealing to the community to come forward if they have a missing person that fits the description.”

The police found no identification documents on the body.

According to Maphakela, the man appeared to have been in his mid-thirties or early forties.

“A black man was found dressed in a black and blue jacket, long brown pants and he had short black hair. The man was 1,7 m tall and he weighed about 67 kg.”

  3. The man’s race has been made known at the request of the Bramley Police who are trying to establish the identity of the man. The more details that are provided, the better the chances of finding the man’s family. We did not intend to offend our readers, we are simply trying to assist the police.

Since when is it racist to mention someone’s race when giving a description? Anywhere else in the world people would assume these complaints are a joke and yet here people really think this way.
