Anele Mdoda supports plus-size women

RADIO DJ Anele Mdodoa has signed on to become the brand ambassador for Australian plus-size clothing City Chic.

The store opened its doors on 19 October in Sandton City and offers clothing to woman in sizes 14 to 24.

Mdoda wears plus-size clothing and has given City Chic customers a role model to look up to, who want a perfectly tailored fit to enhance their curves.

The brand does not only focus on clothing, but has designed lingerie in sizes that are usually not catered to in South Africa, as well as a crafted cut jean specifically designed for fuller figured girls.

“City Chic offers South African woman an original experience. We know there is a gap in the market for fashionable, sexy designs for the plus size market,” said general manager for the brand Phil Ryan.

Offering Mdoda a selection of street wear and evening dresses, she assists with brand awareness by wearing City Chic out at her public appearances.

City Chic aims at making a customer’s shopping experience light and fulfilling, with a well trained staff to assist.

Mdoda is sending a message to full-figured woman through City Chic to celebrate their curves and leave the store feeling confident.

  1. I am so so excited to visit the store. i am a 20 and complain all of the time that there are NO stylish and more important sexy clothes for plus size woman. i am a groomed woman who has struggled with my weight my whole life. i want to look and feel sexy and comfortable in my clothes, and frankly, donna claire and these other big retail strores do not cater for my taste. i always ask myself why we as larger woman, should be forced to look like a 80 year old or someone who has never opened the pages of a fashion magazine. we also have taste but we never get asked what we want. i hope im going to be excited about what you have in store?!
