Matric final exams commence
GAUTENG - It’s all systems go for the year-end 2013 National Senior Certificate examinations for Grade 12.
The examinations will start on 28 October and end on 29 November.
Gauteng education spokesperson Gershwin Chuenyane said 99 504 full-time candidates writing at 1 274 sites across the province had been registered.
“Results will be announced on 7 January 2014, and all learners are urged to go to their schools on this day to collect their results,” Chuenyane said.
He said the department remained optimistic that pupils were given the best possible chance to pass.
Daily and weekend support will be provided in some areas for pupils for the duration of the exams.
