City Parks deals with tree issues

JOHANNESBURG City Parks has made an attempt to make driving on Marie Avenue safer.

Following the article, Dangers on Marie Avenue, week ending 4 October, Jenny Moodley, spokesperson for City Parks said, “The trees that were hampering traffic flow in Parkmore have been lopped by City Parks.”

Moodley also said there is nothing that City Parks can do about the palisade fence that Parkmore resident Rita Cool and Ward 90 councillor Gordon Mackay said was the main culprit causing danger on Marie Avenue.

Moodley said the matter would have to be sorted out by the sport and recreation facility. We will have to redirect the complaint for assistance, she added.
