Say no to road closures

In response to, Riverclub residents speak out about road closures, week ending 4 October.

Anne Bleyenheuft writes:

These enclosures are being forced by selfish people. I am sick and tired of this type of laager mentality. We are all at risk and it is up to us all to be vigilant. Yes, we all want to be safe, but to close a through road like Belgrave is senseless.

I take exception to having to take the long route round and I pay rates and taxes which should allow me access through this area. I do not actually believe that crime has escalated to the extent that this road should be closed.

I would also like to just put a gate across the road that I live in, a major through road, thus inconveniencing hundreds of people using the road.

I say no to such a selfish request.
