No water in Joburg CBD

JOBURG - Emergency water shutdown in the CBD.

Johannesburg Water would like to inform residents and businesses in the Central Region about repairs on a damaged water main at the corner of Commissioner and Polly streets.

“During the repairs, Johannesburg CBD including Selby, Marshalltown, Wemmer, Village Main and parts of Newtown will experience water shortages,” said the water utility’s spokesperson Millicent Kabwe.

Kabwe said the Johannesburg Water team was on site to complete the repairs as soon as possible.

“Water tankers will be deployed to the affected areas for temporary water supply. We apologise for the convenience caused.”
