Constable Lungi Mbatha, Sector 4 Commander, received the Top Female Police Officer award at the Gauteng Prestige Awards for police.
Spokesperson for the Sandton Police Captain Kym Cloete said the station was proud of Mbatha’s achievement.
“She is a fabulous police officer and a lovely lady, and for her to win an award of this magnitude makes us so proud,” said Cloete.
The Gauteng Prestige Awards took place on 24 August in Pretoria. Members of the police force were awarded according to their achievements in various categories .
