Wetlands project hosts spring event

The Cottesmore Wetlands Project will host an open day and clean-up campaign in honour of spring's arrival.

On 14 September between 2pm and 4pm residents are invited to have a picnic and enjoy the open spaces on the side of Cottesmore Road.

There will also be a bugweed clean-up project on the day. A representative of City Parks will give a demonstration on the correct eradication of the weed that has infested the land.

Those interested should bring along some gardening gloves and a pair of trimming shears. There will be a jumping castle and face painting for the children to enjoy.

Businesses are also welcome to get involved.
