Motorcyclist knocked down on Grosvenor road

SANDTON - A man in his 40s sustained a broken leg after he was knocked off his motorbike on Grosvenor Road on the morning of 28 August.

Paramedics explained that a vehicle was turning into a complex on Grosvenor Road between Main Road and Bryanston Drive when the vehicle and motorbike

collided.

Fortunately it appeared that the collision took place at a low speed, and the motorbike is believed to have fallen on top of the rider which lead to the breaking of the bone in the lower part of his leg.
He was stabilised on the scene and the Advanced Life Support paramedic provided him with medication to ease his pain. He was transported by ambulance to Mediclinic Sandton for further care.

No one else was injured in the incident.
