Striking workers injured during protest
A protest on 5th Road in Sandton resulted in two injuries.

Captain Kym Cloete, spokesperson of the Sandton police said construction workers had been protesting for higher salaries when the incident occurred.
“The protesters dispersed on their own. Two injuries were reported, and the injured were taken away by ambulance,” said Cloete.
The Sunday Times tweeted that the injured had been stabbed.
