Two-day zoo closure in August
FOREST TOWN - The Joburg Zoo will be closed on 5 and 6 August.
The two-day closure is due to the zoo’s annual health and safety maintenance programme.
Spokesperson Jenny Moodley said dead tree branches would be lopped, paving repaired, animal enclosures deep cleaned and mended, and general maintenance work done.
“The zoo turns 110 years old next year, and we are maintaining it in preparation for this great milestone,” she said.
