Good Vibrations entertains for a cause

SANDTON - A night of music and entertainment kept a large audience enthralled at the Good Vibrations concert at the Rosebank Union Church, in aid of a neighbouring retirement home.

The musical variety concert sought to raise funds for the Rosehaven Retirement Home. Hosted by the lively Eddie Eckstein, who performed some ‘side-slapping’ stand-up comedy between acts, the event featured artists such as Clive Bruce, Alter Irving, Junction, Hot Mamas and Eckstein’s own group, Eddie Eckstein and the Bats.

Organiser Greta Collier said Rosehaven is in urgent need of upgrades to the cottages and a new vehicle to transport the elderly.

Audience member Cynthia Jenkin said she had thoroughly enjoyed the evening which had featured amazing artists. She said Eckstein had been excellent and held the show together and he had also done a brilliant job on the drums when Eddie Eckstein and the Bats performed.
