PIETER BOTHA: You do notice an extra couple hundred rand missing after the increases, it cuts down on my savings and I just don’t do as much as I used to.THANDO SHABANGU: It’s a major increase, I’m definitely feeling it because I’m self-employed. Certain things, like going out, you have to cut back on because they’re not important.SHVONNE PILLAY: My transport cost has increased by R500 a month but I think that’s been the biggest problem for me. Everything else like my rent and food has stayed the same.NOLUVO MFEKETO: I’m in the construction industry so we had no increases but the cost of everything else has gone up. Even if you like going out you can’t do that anymore.
