Francesca Ho: It was a year after democracy and there was a mixture of uncertainty which gave us a positive boost.
I have different sentiments about how South Africa is today seeing that Mandela is gone things are no longer the same, I’m not too excited about the 20th Anniversary though!
Saziso Khoza : I really feel proud of our national team for setting such a mark, it made South African people unite and we should remember that we’re the best in the world.
Even after 20 years we as South Africans need to work harder to make a better South Africa in 20 years to come, we must also make things work for ourselves and not wait on the government.

Ronelle – It is nice that there is a celebration, but there needs to be more a cultural attitude in the group. South Africa is not the same as it was back when we started with the democracy, things have changed.
Kenny Mamabolo: The celebration is very relevant because it happened towards the end of the era of apartheid, President Nelson Mandela showed us that black and white can unite using his leadership qualities.
Even after 20 years since the celebration, I believe that South Africa is slowly getting there because people of different races aren’t on the same level yet but hopefully we will soon.
