Fire station gets a make over

SANDTON - In celebration of Nelson Mandela Day Rawson Properties, with the help from the community, cleaned and restored the garden surrounding the Sandton Fire Station.

Ben Cilliers, director at Rawson Properties, says it is an ongoing project that will see some parts of the fire station renovated.

Rawson started the project on 11 July, beginning with the garden. The team also hopes to help to restore the interior of the fire station and the interior, which is in need of new beds and renovation.

As spring approaches, the team will start planting the flower beds and will commence work on painting the exterior of the fire station.

Rawson is calling on businesses in the surrounding area to either sponsor flowers or paint.

Cilliers said there were two reasons for the project. Firstly, one of his agents was a firefighter and is very passionate about the service, and secondly, Cilliers says the station looks increasingly unappealing.

Rawson Properties is committed to seeing this project through and would greatly appreciate the help of local businesses in this endeavour.
