Marlboro business loses thousands in robbery

MARLBORO - A business office was burgled in Marlboro.

Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for the Bramley police, said the suspects took steel rods valued at over R3 000.

“Suspects removed the padlock at the door to gain entrance to the building,” explained Maphakela. He said the security officer on duty claimed that before she left the building, everything was locked.

He said the security officer is the one who alerted the police about the burglary. He added that the business had no security cameras. “But there are workers who stay in outside rooms of the yard,” said Maphakela.

No arrests have been made, however, the police are still investigating.
