Hyde Park teachers keep the cold cozy

HYDE PARK - The school staff room at Hyde Park High School has been abuzz with the click of knitting needles and the swirl of wool wrapping around crotchet hooks for the past two weeks.

The staff are reaching their goal of making 67 baby blankets for various charities. Pupils were encouraged to donate wool towards this project.

To date bundles of blankets have been donated to the Alex Baby Clinic and Nazareth House.

Does your school support a charity initiative? We would love to hear about it. Find Sandton Chronicle on Facebook to give us all the details.
