NAS performance highlight of concert
Multi-Grammy award winning music producer, Timbaland brought with him some of the best international artists to join him for one of the biggest parties in South Africa.
This was what he told the media at a press conference at The Venue in Melrose Arch a day before the music festival.
Castle Lite announced in March this year at the World of Yamaha in Sandton that they were collaborating with the music producer on their Extra Cold Music Festival.
The festival took place on 7 June at Supersport Park in Centurion and Timbaland shared the stage with international rappers Nas, Wiz Khalifa and local rapper Reason who resides in Northcliff.
During his performance, the top producer told the crowd how impressed he was by South African artists, especially Reason’s performance.
Audiences were treated to performances from Mi Casa, Black Coffee, Ladysmith Black Mambazo and many other music acts.
But it was international hip-hop artist Nas who wowed the filled to capacity stadium with hits from his album Illmatic.
