Bryanston boys represent SA in a big way

BRYANSTON - Bryanston High School brothers Brandon (Grade 12) and Luke Schlebusch (Grade 11) took off from OR Tambo International Airport to compete in the World Duathlon Championships.

The championships will take place in Pontevedra in Spain. Earlier this year they competed in the South African and African Duathlon Champs coming 3rd (Brandon) and 4th (Luke) which lead to their selection to represent South Africa in the Junior Men’s sprint event in Spain.

The race consists of a 5km run, a 20km cycle and then a 2,5km run. More than 1 400 athletes from all over the world will be competing in this championship.

Last year this amazing duo travelled to Ottowa, Canada to represent South Africa in the World Dualthlon Championships, with Brandon bringing home a bronze medal. Bryanston High School is very proud of these True Blue athletes and wishes them well in their race.
