Hoot for missing girls

SANDTON - Redhill School pupils stood on the pavements in front of their school to bring awareness to the Bring Back our Girls global campaign on 19 May.

They displayed boards with slogans written on them and were motivated by the cheers and hooting from passersby.

Other leading private schools also held their own campaigns with St John’s, Roedean, St Theresa’s, St Stithians and Parktown Boys raising the plight of the more than 200 Nigerian schoolgirls kidnapped by Islamic fundamentalist group Boka Haram.

Videos and photos taken by the pupils will be sent to the South African department of international relations and co-operation.
