Lights on in Parkmore, residents hold breath
PARKMORE - The replacement of a transformer restored power in Parkmore late on the afternoon of 23 July.

Business owner Jack Levy said he had been informed by Eskom that a transformer was replaced at the corner of 12th Street and Marie Avenue, Parkmore. “The power is now on. Hopefully it will stay this way,” he said.
Ward 103 councillor Vincent Earp confirmed the replacement of the transformer. “Let’s keep it this way now,” he said. “The businesses in 11th Street have suffered the consequences of past power failures and need a steady power supply to the area to thrive.”
Residents and business owners in the area have experienced an erratic supply of power in their area over the months of June and July.
Eskom had not provided comment at the time of going to press.
