John Newman concert change

JOBURG - UK soul pop phenomenon John Newman's South African tour had to be reshuffled due to unforeseen global tour rescheduling.

The Joburg show which was to take place at Sowing the Seeds Music Festival, has been moved to a one-night performance on 24 April at Newtown’s Town Hall Lane.

“Newman will now perform a day earlier in Joburg,” said promoter Brian Little.

“We believe he is perfectly suited to an urban concert experience and along with Virgin Mobile, our presenting partner, we look forward to bringing his fans a night to remember.”

Little promised fans a Newman concert like no other.

“Be ready for a sizzling, swining, roaring music experience, with decor, lighting and production to match. It’s the return of the era of big sound and big style,” he said.

The British “blue-eyed boy” burst onto the international music scene, and critics and fans alike called him “the new voice of modern soul”.

The four-time Brit Award nominee is best known for his singles Losing Sleep, Love Me Again, and Cheating.
