Post office frustrations

Surely the post office was given notice that there would be a temporary closure of this facility.

Why didn’t they put notices in the boxes so that customers could make alternate arrangements for important mail? How is one supposed to collect registered items at the Benmore Post Office if you cannot receive the registration slip because your post box will not be available for three to four weeks. Absolutely ridiculous, but so typical of the post office to exploit their customers.
