Connecting Gauteng’s entrepreneurs
SANDTON - The Gauteng Provincial Government and Deloitte have partnered for this year’s Gauteng Funding Fair.
This is an initiative aimed at facilitating face-to-face interaction between entrepreneurs in Gauteng and funding institutions. The Gauteng MEC for Finance, Mandla Nkomfe, was joined by Gauteng MEC for Economic Development Mxolisi Xayiya, as well as Gaba Tabane and Fredre Meiring of Deloitte for the inaugural Gauteng Funding Fair media launch in Sandton.
The Gauteng Funding Fair now includes the Business Funding Fair, Infrastructure Funding Fair and the Small, Medium and Micro Enterprise (SMME) Funding Fair. It is an event dedicated to connecting the entrepreneurship potential of Africa’s economic engine. Furthermore, the fair is designed to facilitate face-to-face engagement between project promoters, entrepreneurs, aspiring industrialists and government funding bodies, as well as funders ranging from venture capitalists to debt funders. The event aims to educate and empower project promoters and entrepreneurs on the holistic approach of the industry. Workshops will be held on how to turn ideas into bankable business plans that have higher probability of attracting the right type of funding, while simultaneously providing a pre-screened pool of projects for potential funders seeking bankable projects to fund.
Delegates at the fair will benefit from exhibitions, informative presentations and workshops, as well as an opportunity to hear from some of Deloitte’s experts on project finance, risk, and tax related matters.
